Web 2.0 is here!

Today is our 'ALIES 3.0' day where we are learning about blogs, wikis, rss and other Web 2.0 technologies. Thanks to Yarra Plenty Regional Library, we are 'Learning 23 things'. How are you going to use these technologies in your library?

ALIES 2008 has started!

ALIES 2008 Conference officially started this evening with a bbq dinner, followed by introductions and a tour of the EMA facility at Mt Macedon.

Looks like a very busy week ahead!

ALIES Syndicate groups

As in previous years, there will be time for 'syndicate' workshops - Police, Fire, Science, Emergency management. These will have an agenda led by a syndicate leader - but they need your input.

• Which group do you best fit into?
• What issues do you want to discuss?
• What should your syndicate be concentrating on?

ALIES article coming up!

ALIES will feature in an article in the February edition of Australian Journal of Emergency Management, due for publication in the next month at www.ema.gov.au/ajem

ALIES Papers due

All papers and presentations for the conference are due by close of business Friday 15 February. Papers by ALIES member libraries should be approximately one page long and on the conference themes of 'pushing forward' and 'ALIES 3.0'.
